Soccer star Evan Ndicka collapses during game

Soccer star Evan Ndicka collapsed during AS Roma's game against Udinese Calcio leading to the match being suspended with a score of 1-1.

Ndicka was thankfully conscious but still needed to be stretchered off the pitch.

Roma issued a statement saying, "Following the on-field medical emergency involving Evan Ndicka, the match between Udinese and Roma has been suspended. The player is conscious and has been taken to hospital for further checks."

Later Roma's X account posted that, "The squad went to visit Ndicka at the hospital. Evan is feeling better and is in good spirits. He will remain in the hospital for further observations. Forza Evan!"

While it seems that Ndicka is ok, this incident was a terrifying one for all involved.

The bizarre phenomenon of athletes suddenly collapsing and experiencing cardiac events has sparked much speculation. Hopefully, the public will learn more and Ndicka has no long term issues that could damage his quality of life.
