Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein arrested during anti-Israel protest

The ongoing anti-Israel protests happening around the country have turned into not only days off of school for ignorant university students, but they're also prime photo ops for budding presidential candidates.

According to The Hill, little-known Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein was able to wrangle 15 minutes of fame after she was arrested for taking part in one of the silly protests at a university in St. Louis, MO.

Stein reported that she had been arrested on the Washington University campus in St. Louis over the weekend after defying law enforcement's orders to disperse.

There were also reports that some in Stein's group could be hit with assault charges after some of the police officers were hurt in the scuffle.

The Green Party candidate wrote a bizarre post on social media announcing her arrest while making a false claim that the St. Louis Police Department, and others, are "being trained by Israel" to deploy certain tactics on local communities.

A statement from Washington University read, "All will face charges of trespassing and some may also be charged with resisting arrest and assault, including for injuries to police officers."

The Hill noted:

The university statement said “a large group of individuals” arrived on campus on Saturday “with the intention of causing a significant disruption to the university.” After the group began “to set up a camp in violation of university policy, we made the decision to tell everyone present that they needed to leave.”

The school added, "We are firmly committed to free expression and allow ample opportunity for voices to be heard on our campus. However, we expect everyone to respect our policies and we will take swift action to enforce them to their fullest extent."

Stein was absolutely torched in the comments across social media.

"You are the most disgusting person ever to run for public office. You are not qualified to be dog catcher," one X user wrote.

Another X user wrote, "You were trespassing on private property and refused to comply after being asked numerous times to leave!"

Stein and her campaign crew were released from the St. Louis County Jail around 2 a.m. the following morning.

Her candidacy has little support and represents virtually no threat to either leading presidential candidate.
