White House issues pardons for drug offenders, invites Kim Kardashian to attend ceremony

 April 28, 2024

Vice President Kamala Harris and Kim Kardashian appeared at a White House event on Thursday after four pardons were issued to drug offenders on Wednesday.

During the event, Harris stated, "We have issued -- as an administration with President Biden’s leadership -- more pardons and commutations than any recent administration at this point in their term. For example, on marijuana: We have pardoned all people for federal convictions for simple marijuana possession."

Harris further claimed that she didn't think “people should have to go to jail for smoking weed."

This particular statement is a galling one because it's simply not true. Harris became famous in California for her zealous prosecution of drug offenders and locked up hundreds of offenders for something she now says should not have been a crime.

Harris has never acknowledged this and is attempting to hoodwink the public.

While some may be pleased that the White House is issuing pardons for simple offenses, Harris' attempts to hide her prior positions are offensive.
