Two investors In Trump Media insider trading case plead guilty

 April 4, 2024

Well, when anyone in Trump's circle who's facing similar charges as Trump is pleading guilty, that's not a great sign from Trump's team.

Fans of Donald will be disappointed to learn that that's exactly what just happened.

Florida venture capitalist Michael Shvartsman and his brother Gerald Shvartsman pleaded guilty on April 3 to "participating in an insider trading scheme linked to the blockbuster deal that brought former President Donald Trump’s social media business public."

This doesn't mean that Donald Trump necessarily did anything wrong or knew anything bad was happening, but fans of our former president probably aren't happy that the president's name is appearing in such close proximity to a guilty plea.

"Michael and Gerald Shvartsman admitted in court that they received confidential, inside information about an upcoming merger between DWAC and Trump Media and used that information to make profitable, but illegal, open-market trades," said the US Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Damien Williams.

Do you think that this is terrible news for Trump?

Or is Donald too smart to let himself suffer a similar fate?
