Trump judge rules jury can't be told Melania was pregnant during husband's alleged affair

Judge Juan Merchan made a rare ruling in Donald Trump's favor on April 15 when he decided that prosecutors cannot introduce evidence showing that Donald Trump's wife, Melania, was pregnant with their son, Barron Trump, when Donald Trump allegedly cheated on her with a Playboy model.

Former Playboy model Karen McDougal alleges that she and Donald Trump carried out an affair while Trump's wife was pregnant with their son.

Trump's charges don't have anything to do with McDougal; they relate to a separate alleged affair that Donald Trump had with adult movie actress Stormy Daniels.

While the two affairs happened separately, the prosecution is still trying to bring McDougal's affair into the Stormy Daniels saga to prove that this is a pattern of behavior by Donald Trump and not a one-off incident.

"Assistant District Attorney Joshua Steinglass is seeking to establish that McDougal is a former Playboy model that claimed to have a yearlong romantic and sexual relationship while Trump's wife is pregnant," Lawfare editor Tyler McBrein said.

Judge Merchan has allowed for the Playboy model to be allowed to testify but has ordered McDougal not to mention Melania's pregnancy during testimony.
