Trump enjoys triumphant weekend with caucus wins in Idaho, Michigan, and Missouri

 March 3, 2024

Former President Donald Trump wrapped up this weekend by scoring a clean sweep of Saturday's Republican caucuses', winning in Idaho, Michigan, and Missouri.

The victories brought Trump that much closer to securing the 2024 GOP nomination.

Trump only faces one challenger for the nomination in the form of former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley. She has refused to drop out of the race despite being repeatedly defeated by Trump, and there will undoubtedly be more carnage come Super Tuesday.

Trump celebrated his victories during a rally Friday in Richmond, Virginia where he called out President Joe Biden saying, "This is getting to be pretty wild and it’s a great honor. We have to let them know we’re coming for him. We’re coming on November 5, Joe, crooked, sleepy, Joe."

As for Haley, Trump isn't even deigning to acknowledge her. Haley was a long-shot candidate from the beginning who was only in the race because of the desperate support of establishment Republicans who would give anything to stop Trump.

Conservative voters have made it clear who they want in 2024. The race for the nomination was Trump's from the beginning and any Republican who ever believed they would beat him has been proven wrong.
