Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl star Rashee Rice was wanted by police over the past week after his alleged involvement in a mult-vehicle car crash.

While he was able to dodge the public relations nightmare for a few days, according to the New York Post, the situation finally caught up with him.

The outlet reported that Rice admitted that he was involved in a six-car crash while racing his rented Lamborghini against a friend who was driving a Corvette that he owned.

The NY Post noted:

The Super Bowl-winning Chiefs receiver was in the Lamborghini that was racing a friend who was driving a Corvette he owned on the North Central Expressway in Dallas around 6:20 p.m. on Saturday leading to the massive collision, which included wrecking the Lamborghini.

Rice, who leased the luxury sports car for a staggering $1,749 per day, reportedly texted the leasing company, The Classic Lifestyle, to admit that he was involved in the wreck.

Two people were treated for injuries at the scene of the wreck, and two others were transported to a hospital. Luckily, there were no serious injuries as a result.

BleacherReport noted:

It remains unknown if Rice was driving the Lamborghini at the time of the incident. However, attorney Kyle Coker told the AP that the contract Rice signed with The Classic Lifestyle, an exotic car rental company, stipulated that only Rice was permitted to drive the vehicle.

The star football professional released a statement on his Instagram account with an update on the situation, vowing to "take full responsibility" for his actions.

His lawyer also released a statement on the situation.

"On behalf of Rashee Rice, his thoughts are with everyone impacted by the automobile accident on Saturday," attorney Royce West said in a statement to ESPN.

He added, "Rashee is cooperating with local authorities and will take all necessary steps to address this situation responsibly."

The Chiefs organization also released a statement, writing, "In all these situations you have to wait until you have all the facts and frankly, we don’t have all the facts at this point."

The team added, "The one comforting fact that we do have is that there was a multi-car crash in Texas, in Dallas, and fortunately, it doesn’t appear that anyone was hurt and we should be grateful for that. We’ll get to the bottom of it, we’ll gather the facts and we’ll react accordingly."
