Madison Cawthorn accused of injuring trooper in rear-end crash

As if it wasn't enough embarrassment for Republican Madison Cawthorn to lose his Congressional race back in 2022, he may have just come up with something a little bit worse.

The former North Carolina congressman was allegedly involved in a car crash with a Florida State Trooper on April 15, according to witness video.

The trooper was apparently injured in the incident.

A witness who claimed to have seen the accident claimed that a Mercedes had been "erratically & aggressively" tailgating her down the highway before she moved to let it pass.

Minutes later, she came to a standstill in the road ahead and realized that the angry Mercedes had slammed into a police cruiser ahead of her.

"Suddenly the car door opens and a man in a wheelchair rolls out," she said.

It should be noted that the witness is an extreme liberal whose Twitter profile pictures her with AOC and Bernie Sanders, but it doesn't appear as though there's much in her story the liberal could have twisted.

We're going to let Cawthorn have his due process before passing too much judgement on him, but it's safe to say the early evidence doesn't look good.
