Judge orders Sen. Bob Menendez's trial to begin May 6

 April 12, 2024

A federal judge in New York recently made two HUGE decisions about the fate of disgraced Sen. Bob Menendez and his wife, Nadine Menendez.

1) Bob Menendez's trial is going to be split from Nadine's, meaning that the two will have separate proceedings over the allegations against them.

2) Bob Menendez's trial will begin on May 6, as initially scheduled. Nadine Menendez's trial is tentatively set to start on July 8 after she recovers from surgery to treat a medical condition.

"This trial is going forward without Mrs. Menendez," said District Judge Sidney Stein. "The government is going to have to try this case two times."

The decision comes after Nadine Menendez's attorneys said in a letter to the court earlier this week that Nadine is suffering from a "serious medical condition that will require a surgical procedure in the next four to six weeks as well as possibly significant follow-up and recovery treatment."

Prayers for everyone involved and prayers that justice is achieved in this case.
