4-year-old girl viciously mauled by dog

 March 11, 2024

A four-year-old girl in Omaha, Nebraska, was viciously mauled by a dog owned by her mother's boyfriend in an attack that left her nearly scalped and having to be rushed to an ICU.

The dog belonged to the mother's boyfriend and was caught shortly after the attack and euthanized.

The mother, Danielle Stratman, hid from police and attempted to hide bloody clothes, earning her an obstruction charge. Greg Preister, her boyfriend, presumably also tried to hide the crime and was also accused of obstruction.

Kimberly Lane Koterba, a relative, stated that the girl "was attacked by a Cane Corso Mastiff mix. Her scalp was torn off, her cheekbone was broken, she has torn ligaments in her neck and stitches all over her body."

Stratman was arrested earlier this year and charged with child abuse and domestic assault and wasn't supposed to have any contact with the child.

Hopefully, Stratman and her boyfriend, if convicted, will face the maximum sentence for this horrific attack. A strong message needs to be sent that irresponsible behavior that threatens young children will be punished heavily.
