Mike Johnson says speaker vacancy would be 'dangerous'

 May 4, 2024

House Speaker Mike Johnson, a Republican from Louisiana, has some opinions about what trying to oust him as the leader of the House of Representatives would do.

Unsurprisingly, Johnson has come up with a list of reasons why he shouldn't be removed.

Johnson has referred to Republican attempts to remove him as a "dangerous gambit."

At this point, every liberal in America, and most of the rest of the world, is laughing at America's GOP.

That's because, since taking control of the House of Representatives back in 2022, Republicans have done absolutely NOTHING with the advantage.

Instead, all they've done is cycle through leaders and create a massive divide between people in their party.

Things have gotten so bad that Democrats have even said that they're going to come to Johnson's aid and prevent him from being removed from the speaker role if Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) actually carries through with her promise to try to remove him.

Johnson thinks that not having him as speaker would be dangerous. Greene thinks that leaving him in charge is worse.

Only time will tell who bends and who breaks.
