Biden gaffes at White House turkey pardoning ceremony

President Joe Biden's gaffe machine strikes again, and this time it happened during the annual White House turkey pardoning ceremony.

According to Breitbart, the 81-year-old, seemingly perpetually confused president tried to crack a joke and mixed up three popular female singers in the process to the point that it drew intense mockery.

"Now, just to get here, Liberty and Bell had to beat some tough odds and competition," Biden started off, referencing the turkeys.

The president pivoted to cracking a joke about Beyoncé’s tour, called the Renaissance Tour, which actually ended last month. But then his joke took a bizarre and embarrassing turn.

"They had to work hard to show patience and be willing to travel over a thousand miles. You could say even it’s harder than getting a ticket to the Renaissance Tour,” Biden said.

"They had to work hard to show patience and be willing to travel over a thousand miles. You could say even it’s harder than getting a ticket to the Renaissance Tour,” he said, seemingly referring to Beyoncé’s tour.

He then became ultra-confused, implying that Britney Spears is on tour in Brazil when actually it's Taylor Swift.

"Or, or Britney’s tour. She’s down in — it’s kind of warm in Brazil right now."

Making the joke even worse is the fact that a Taylor Swift fan died over the weekend at one of her Brazil performances due to excessive heat and a lack of water. Making light of the Swift tour right now is the definition of "too soon."

Social media reacted to the gaffe, and some believe he was told to make the pop culture reference to appeal to younger voters.

"Someone showed him his poll numbers with the under-30 crowd," one X user wrote.

Biden continues to decline in his approval rating and polling numbers, causing great concern for the Democratic National Committee (DNC).
