Trump posts eclipse-related campaign ad, sends haters into hysterics

 April 9, 2024

Former President Donald Trump sent the left into a frenzy on the day of the historic solar eclipse.

According to the Daily Mail, Trump compared the upcoming Nov. 5 presidential election to the eclipse event, calling it "the most important event in human history."

The 2024 Trump campaign released a video that depicted a silhouette of Trump's head blotting out the sun, comparing it to the solar eclipse event that captured the world's attention.

The outlet noted:

With the 2001: A Space Odyssey theme playing in the background, the video then flicks to photos of crowds gathered to watch the eclipse with their glasses on.

The hoards of people start to cheer as Trump's head slowly moves closer to the sun and the U.S. gets darker.

"We will save America, and make it great again," the text in the video read.

Trump and his campaign released the video overnight, just hours prior to stirring up headlines after revealing his stance on the white-hot abortion issue, which many observers believe will be pivotal for both sides in the 2024 election.

The former president was razzed by his critics in 2017 when he appeared to glance at the solar eclipse that year without protective shades. President Joe Biden, seemingly in response to Trump's eclipse promo, took a shot at his predecessor on X.

"An eclipse is worth marveling at. But don't be silly, folks – play it safe and wear protective eyewear," Biden's X account read.

The president was torched by many in the comments of his X post, with one user calling out Biden's priorities, writing, "Our border is wide open and you are posting about an eclipse... No wonder you are despised by so many."

Social media users reacted to Trump's eclipse video, with even some of his haters admitting that it was well done, and his supporters cheering him on for his sense of humor.

"Best ad ever! Trump has a great sense of humor," one X user wrote.

Another X user wrote, "This should trigger the Libs good & hard."

Trump is currently leading Biden in a number of important election polls and hypothetical matchups, including in nearly every crucial swing state for the 2024 election.
