Trump Claims He 'Purposely' Mixed Up Haley And Pelosi

Former President Donald Trump recently did the unthinkable.

He called his opponent, GOP candidate Nikki Haley, by the wrong name.

Trump referred to Haley as Democrat Rep. Nancy Pelosi.

When questioned on it, Trump had an explanation, saying that he actually mixed up the names intentionally.

“It’s very hard to be sarcastic when I interpose. I’m not a Nikki fan, and I’m not a Pelosi fan. And when I purposely interpose names, they said, ‘He didn’t know Pelosi from Nikki from tricky Nikki, tricky Dicky,’” Trump said.

However, not everyone is buying it.

Haley’s spokeswoman, AnneMarie Graham-Barnes said that what we saw was a pattern of the former president.

“Donald Trump says something unhinged, faces backlash, and scrambles to clean up his mess with a dirty mop,” Graham-Barnes said.
