Former Trump prosecutor expresses regret over damage caused by affair with Fani Willis

Ex-Trump prosecutor Nathan Wade sat down for an interview with ABC News’ Linsey Davis and revealed that he regrets the damage that his affair with Fulton County prosecutor Fani Willis caused.

When asked by Davis about his feelings on the scandal, Wade stated, "I regret that that private matter became the focal point of this very important prosecution. This is a very important case. I hate that my personal life has begun to overshadow the true issues in the case.”

Wade basically admitted that his affair with Willis torpedoed the case against former President Donald Trump and also likely the career of Fani Willis.

Wade resigned from the case after it was discovered that he had been having an affair with Willis before he was hired by her in 2021.

The ethical issues, combined with the pair's dishonesty in the face of the accusations, significantly delayed the trial against Trump and completely discredited Willis.

There were also serious corruption issues as well as it was alleged that Willis was dragging out the case against Trump so Wade could rake in more pay and take her on lavish trips. Regardless of what exactly happened, Willis's career is already tarnished.
