Tim Allen returning to TV with new comedy pilot

 March 9, 2024

Actor and comedian Tim Allen may be 70 years of age, but that hasn't stopped him from launching a new campaign.

That campaign aims to get back on ABC primetime.

Allen, who has already had two smash hit sitcoms during his career, has recently been confirmed as the star of a new ABC comedy pilot, Shifting Gears.

Allen himself announced the news on Twitter.

After nearly a decade of success on Home Improvement and another run as the lead of Last Man Standing, Allen has confirmed that he's "at it again" with his longtime partner ABC.

Allen reportedly plays the character of Matt in the new endeavor.

A project description has shed a little light on the premise of the show:

Stubborn, widowed owner of a classic car restoration shop. When Matt’s estranged daughter and her teenage kids move into his house, the real restoration begins.
