Nigerian schoolchildren taken in mass abduction have been freed

 March 25, 2024

Horror recently struck in Nigeria.

A mass kidnapping in a town north of the Nigerian city called Kuriga ended with nearly 300 children being stolen from their school building.

Gunmen showed up and ordered the students all to go with him.

They then demanded $690,000 dollars for the release of the students.

Sadly, it sounds like a similar crime is all too common in Nigeria.

As soon as the ransom is paid, the children are typically freed unharmed.

So far, 137 hostages have since been freed.

Governor Uba Sani called the release of the hostages a “day of joy” in a recent statement.

It is hard to imagine what it would be like to be a parent waiting to find out if your child had been free from a gunmen after they had been kidnapped.

We hope and pray for the release of any remaining students that are still yet to be freed.
