Nickelodeon child star Drake Bell's sexual abuse allegations to be revealed in new show

Executives at Nickelodeon are presumably in a panic as it was revealed this week that a former child star at the network claims he was sexually abused by a dialogue coach.

According to PageSix, Drake Bell, known for his time at Nickelodeon, is set to reveal in an upcoming Investigation Discovery show entitled, Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV, that he was a victim of sexual abuse.

Bell and the show named the alleged abuser as Brian Peck, the young actor's dialogue coach at the time.

"Former Nickelodeon star Drake Bell will be sharing publicly, for the first time, the story of the abuse he suffered at the hands of Brian Peck," a description for the show read.

In a clip from the upcoming episode, which could open the floodgates for any other potential victims to come forward, actor Bryan Hearne said, "To hear that Brian Peck was a sexual predator, it made me wonder immediately about who was being hurt."

"Who it is, when it happened, where it happened, I have no idea," added former Nickelodeon star Giovonnie Samuels.

PageSix noted:

Bell, 37, then walks into a dimly lit room and stares as if ready to finally share his side of the story. The exact details of his abuse have not yet been disclosed.

Notably, Peck has a shady history involving children. The former filmmaker, who worked on the set of The Amanda Show, which starred Bell, "was arrested on charges of a lewd act against a child and oral copulation of a person under 16" in 2003.

As it would turn out, just a year later, Peck was arrested and convicted of sexually abusing an unidentified Nickelodeon star, a minor at the time. That minor is reportedly Drake Bell.

Actor Will Friedle, who played Eric Matthews in Boy Meets World, recently opened up about being "groomed" by Peck at one point in his career.

PageSix noted that Friedle said:

I didn’t really go to parties. I didn’t really do that stuff. But I was working a lot after ‘Boy Meets World,’ and this guy had so ingratiated himself into my life, I took him to three shows after ‘Boy Meets World.'

Friedle added, "This was the type of thing where the person he presented was this great, funny guy who was really good at his job, and you wanted to hang out with … I saw him every day, hung out with him every day, talked to him every day."

He, and a few other actors at the time, even supported Peck in the courtroom after he was charged with sexual abuse.

"We’re sitting in that courtroom on the wrong side of everything," Friedle added. The show is set to premiere on March 17 and 18.
