Op-ed in New York Times calls Bragg's case against Trump 'historic mistake

 April 24, 2024

It was only a piece in the opinion section, but when even the New York Times is publishing such harsh criticisms of at least one of the cases against Donald Trump, you know that there are some serious questions that need to be asked.

In a recent guest essay, Boston University law professor Jed Handelsman Shugerman was very adamant that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg was "overreaching" in his attempts to try a federal election crime under New York state law.

Since the prosecution has not identified "an election crime or a valid theory of fraud," that means that Alvin Bragg is working off of "vague" allegations at best.

Trump is currently facing 34 counts of falsifying business records in relation to his affair with adult film actress Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election.

The case brought up even more bad memories for the Trump family, as a former Playboy model named McDougal has been dragged into this case.

McDougal is claiming that she ALSO had an affair with Donald Trump, and that it occurred while Melania Trump was pregnant with Donald's child Barron.
