Nancy Mace making a bid to be Donald Trump's running mate

 October 15, 2023

Representative Nancy Mace (R-SC) is reportedly making a run at being selected as former President Donald Trump's running mate in 2024 despite being one of the many Republicans who turned on him after the 2020 presidential election.

Rumors from South Carolina Republicans indicate that Mace believes she is a real candidate to be Trump's right-hand woman.

However, figures close to Trump's campaign have panned the idea with one anonymous source stating that the former president “absolutely hates Nancy Mace."

A former staffer for Trump went a step further saying, "I would see Trump pick [Mike] Pence before he picks Mace."

So why is Mace so interested in joining forces with Trump again? Well, likely because Mace is running out of friends thanks to her vote to remove Kevin McCarthy as speaker of the House.

Furthermore, Mace hasn't earned much goodwill with Americans due to her centrist politics which won't appeal to Trump's voter base. Mace might actually be the candidate with the worst chance to be Trump's running mate.
