Mohamed Al-Fayed, whose son died with Princess Diana in tragic crash, passes away

 September 3, 2023

Mohamed Al-Fayed, the former owner of Harrods department store and the Fulham Football Club and father of Princess Diana's last boyfriend, passed away on Friday at the age of 94.

A statement from Al-Fayed's family stated, "Mrs Mohamed Al-Fayed, her children and grandchildren wish to confirm that her beloved husband, their father and their grandfather, Mohamed, has passed away peacefully of old age on Wednesday August 30, 2023. He enjoyed a long and fulfilled retirement surrounded by his loved ones."

Al-Fayed was a successful businessman known for his flamboyance as well as his quest for the truth about the deaths of his son and Princess Diana.

He fought with the British establishment for years, as he was convinced that his son and the Princess were killed as the result of actions taken by the late Prince Philip, the husband of Queen Elizabeth II.

Al-Fayed believed that the Princess was pregnant and that the Royal family would never accept a marriage between Diana and a Muslim.

No evidence of that conspiracy has ever been found, but nonetheless, Al-Fayed wasn't the only one who suspected foul play in the tragic incident. Thankfully, it seems Al-Fayed lived out his remaining days surrounded by a loving and supportive family.
