Mike Johnson Elected Speaker Of The House Of Representatives

It looked like Republicans weren't going to be able to accomplish their goal, but it happened after all.

America finally has a speaker of the House of Representatives.

Say hello to Mike Johnson, a Republican from Louisiana.

It looked as if America would NEVER have another Republican speaker again with how little progress was being made in Congress.

Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) was booted out, then Steve Scalise (R-LA) couldn't get the votes, then Byron Donalds got some momentum but lost it, then Tom Emmer (R-MN) withdrew his name...

We appeared to be heading for disaster.

Not anymore, according to former President Donald Trump.

Finally, Republicans were able to get things done.

With all of the complaining that our side does about how difficult America's liberals are to work with, we certainly weren't helping our own argument.

There was way more fighting with other Republicans than there was progress being made while conservatives were waiting to learn who the next speaker of the House of Representatives was going to be.

Hopefully we can move past that and get back to making progress with a House majority.
