Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky headed for divorce: Report

 March 14, 2024

Fans of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills were probably shocked -- or not -- to learn that two of the show's personalities are set to divorce.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky's marriage is reportedly headed downhill and will soon end in divorce, as Richards explained in a Season 13 reunion what led to the marital troubles.

Richards pointed to life's demands and family issues as one of the primary reasons why she believes the marriage took a turn for the worse.

"With any marriage, there's issues that you have that come up. You get busy, you've got kids... I'm working, I'm being a mommy, doing all that, it gets put aside... Some of the issues never went away. They were never really worked on," Richards said.

Notably, Richards admitted that trust issues developed, but didn't expand on the statement.

"Something did happen where I did lose my trust," Richards said during the reunion show.

She added, "I care about my family first. I tried. I really did. Then when I couldn't, the kind of things that I had been putting up with just became more apparent to me, I guess. I guess, I couldn't do that anymore."

ET Online noted:

Even at that "breaking point," though, Kyle "really thought it would come back," she said, "and then it didn't."

Host Andy Cohen asked her a fan question during the show, which essentially asked why she wouldn't just come out and reveal exactly why she and her husband will likely divorce. Richards made it clear that it was nobody's business.

Richards was also asked about possible living arrangements if the divorce is finalized. She admitted that it was a difficult thought, and even more difficult to even say the word "divorce."

"It's hard for us to say that word, I think, but if he's looking for a place to move out, I haven't really seen progress. We get along well, but like friends," Richards said.

She attempted to end the interview on a positive note, saying, "While I may have lost what I thought was my happily ever after, I am strong enough. I will have my happily ever after no matter what."

Only time will tell if and when the two formalize the divorce.
