A Georgia judge decided not to revoke the bond of Harrison Floyd, one of former President Donald Trump's 18 co-defendants in a racketeering trial accusing them of attempting to overturn the 2020 election in that state.

Fulton County D.A. Fani Willis asked for Floyd's bail to be revoked after he made comments on social media that she perceived as witness intimidation. His trial is not set to begin until as late as August.

One of the posts in question flagged Secretary of State Brad Raffensberger and an aide, Gabriel Sterling. The post said there was no fraud found in the 2020 election, and Floyd asked whether “they should be more concerned about interfering in elections, perjury before Congress, lying to DA Fani Willis, or all of the above?”

Other posts asked similar questions and criticized another co-defendant, Trump lawyer Jenna Ellis, for pleading guilty to the charges against her.

Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee ruled that Floyd's actions may have technically violated his bond agreement, but that he didn't see the comments as threats, just an attempt to defend himself vigorously.

The court did try to nail down further guidelines about what can be said or posted going forward.
