Harry Connick Sr. Dead At 97

Harry Connick Sr., the New Orleans district attorney and father of actor and singer Harry Connick Jr., has passed away.

He was 97-years-old.

Reports indicate that Connick died "peacefully" at his home in New Orleans on Thursday.

He was surrounded by family, including his son Harry Connick Jr., his daughter Suzanna, and his wife, Londa.

A cause of death has not yet been revealed.

I would imagine that foul play is not expected in the death, however. Connick Sr. was closing in on an entire century on this earth, after all.

Connick Jr., age 56, recently shared a photo with his father back in November. Both of the men seemed to be enjoying themselves in the picture, with both smiling warmly.

"Hangin' with my dad - my FAVORITE thing in the world! i come to see him about once a month in new orleans and it's still not enough! at 97, he continues to be my hero and inspiration... i love you sooooo much, dad!!!" the caption read.
