GOP Senate Would Refuse To Fill Supreme Court During Biden's 2nd Term

 March 24, 2024

The GOP hasn't exactly been the most cohesive unit recently.

Look at what Matt Gaetz of Florida recently did to Kevin McCarthy of California. Gaetz started the process that resulted in McCarthy being removed as America's Speaker of the House.

Professional women should be supporting each other, but instead, Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert have been trading jabs back and forth like schoolchildren.

But could we see Republicans in the Senate start to band together and maybe make up for some of the lack of agreement we've seen in other places in the party?

At least one Senate GOP insider thinks so.

"I think Republicans would be prepared to stonewall any Biden Supreme Court nominee that was unacceptable to the Republican conference," an aide close to Senate leadership recently revealed to the New York Post.

"Do you think Democratic Sen. Chuck Schumer would vote to confirm a Trump judge? No way. These people want to pack the Supreme Court," the insider said.

Even if it is true that liberals want to pack the Supreme Court, should Republicans be using dirty tactics to prevent the system from running its course?

It depends on how hard you're willing to stand up for the things you believe in, I guess.
