Federal Appeals Court Strikes Down Maryland Handgun Rule

 November 23, 2023

Get ready to weep, liberals.

A federal appeals court has recently made its decision on Maryland's handgun licensure law.

It's unconstitutional.

Just like we knew it was.

The author of the majority opinion, Judge Julius Richardson, is a Donald Trump appointee.

Perhaps that's why common sense prevailed in this case.

"In Maryland, if you are a law-abiding person who wants a handgun, you must wait up to thirty days for the state to give you its blessing. Until then, there is nothing you can do; the issue is out of your control. Maryland has not shown that this regime is consistent with our Nation’s historical tradition of firearm regulation," Richardson wrote in the majority decision.

Senior Judge Barbaro Milano Keenan, who was appointed by Barack Obama, wrote the minority opinion.

"The majority’s hyperaggressive view of the Second Amendment would render presumptively unconstitutional most non-discretionary laws in this country requiring a permit to purchase a handgun," she said.
