Elon Musk faces Brazilian judicial inquiry

A Brazilian Supreme Court judge is launching an investigation into Elon Musk for alleged obstruction of justice after Musk vowed to defy a court order in Latin America's biggest nation that blocked certain accounts on his platform.

Brazilian officials have apparently been cracking down on social media accounts that spread fake news lately, and as part of that effort they forced Twitter to block certain popular accounts in Brazil.

While it initially appeared as though Elon Musk and the rest of X might comply, the company eventually decided that ALL people, "regardless of their political beliefs, are entitled to freedom of speech."
