Lawyer: Donald Trump will not get fair trial in New York

 April 15, 2024

A former administration official came forward and confirmed that former President Donald Trump stands no chance of getting a fair trial in New York.

Conservatives have been worried about the possibility of a rigged jury in such a deep blue area like New York City.

Former acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker merely confirmed those fears, stating, "But remember, President Trump is not going to be able to get a fair jury and an impartial jury in Manhattan, in New York City, because 70-plus percent voted for Joe Biden in the 2020 election."

The case against Trump is incredibly weak, but that doesn't matter when the jury is full of politically motivated actors who believe Trump is the modern-day Hitler.

Whitaker continued, "President Trump did a poll that suggested 61% of the residents of Manhattan said that they thought he was guilty. And I just don’t think that jury pool is gonna be very fair and impartial like he’s entitled to under the Constitution."

This does open the possibility of Trump being convicted but successfully appealing in higher courts when he is free from New York politics.
