Op-ed: Bin Laden letter's spread is sufficient reason to support ban on TikTok

The Washington Examiner said in a new op-ed on Monday that the surging popularity of Osama Bin Laden's open letter to America is yet another reason to support the banning of TikTok in the U.S.

The letter purports to give justification for the 9/11 terrorist attacks and paints America as an oppressor to the rest of the world.

The Examiner editorial pointed out that what the letter said was not that much different than what is spouted in many liberal colleges or political platforms today.

Studies show that a large number of Generation Z teens and adults say they get their news from TikTok, and TikTok's algorithm consistently feeds anti-American information to them.

Why does the U.S. want to give China a chance to pollute the minds of our youth even more than it already does?

"After the bizarre turn of TikTok users to bin Laden as though he were a guru, what more evidence do we need that the platform is bad for America, particularly its young?" the editorial read.
