Biden's diplomats triggered over Trump's meetings with various heads of state

President Joe Biden's White House is reportedly triggered by some of the meetings former President Donald Trump has had with foreign leaders.

According to Axios, the proverbial feathers of some of those in the diplomatic community have been "ruffled" after Trump's meeting with various foreign heads of state.

The report noted that one particular meeting --  with Javier Milei, Argentina's right-wing president -- was bothersome to President Biden's team, as it projected an early image of Trump on his way back to the White House.

Milei met with Trump ahead of the CPAC convention in February. Sources say the meeting wasn't planned, and just kind of happened before the convention kicked off, where Milei was scheduled to speak.

Axios noted:

But after Milei arrived in Washington, CPAC leader Matt Schlapp, a Trump ally, called Milei's aides and told them Trump wanted to meet with Milei before the Argentine president's speech, the sources said.

So, the meeting was arranged. The newly-minted president of Argentian met with former President Trump backstage ahead of CPAC, even embracing him in a moment that was shared virally across social media.

While Trump was even criticized by Biden and the administration for meeting with the far right-wing Argentinian president, some in the White House have reportedly "privately" questioned whether it was appropriate for Trump to hold such meetings.

Members of Biden's diplomatic corps would later express concerns over the meeting.

One of those was U.S. ambassador to Argentina, Marc Stanley, who approached Argentina's foreign minister at an event in Buenos Aires, noting that they had been caught off-guard by Trump's meeting with Milei.

As Axios noted, it's not unusual at all for presidential nominees to meeting with other heads of state during a campaign as a way to show voters how they can handle foreign policy and affairs.

However, apparently, when Trump does it, it's too much. Even Axios described Trump's meetings with various officials "aggressive."

Trump has hosted various world leaders at his Mar-a-Lago estate, including most recently Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban. The former president also "had dinner with Polish President Andrzej Duda" at Trump Tower in New York City.

Many believe Trump is simply showing how he can handle other world leaders and how he's able to make great deals on behalf of America. Many believe that such displays are highly threatening to Biden as it's such a stark contrast between the two mens' leadership style.

Trump has shown no indication of backing down on holding such meetings ahead of the November election.
