Baby fighting for life after mother dies in attack

 April 14, 2024

Ashlee Good, a 38-year-old mother, was one of six innocent shoppers who were killed in a horrific random attack in Sydney, Australia on April 13.

A 40-year-old male went on a terrifying stabbing rampage before he was shot dead by a lone female police officer.

A total of nine people, including Good's nine-month-old child, suffered knife wounds.

Six of them have already passed.

Three of them are still fighting.

One of those still battling for their life is Good's daughter.

On April 14, the police gave an update on the baby's condition:

"We understand baby Harriet is stabilising this morning. We understand that she underwent surgery and she remains in a serious but stable condition," they said in a statement.

The baby's family also released a few details:

Today we are reeling from the terrible loss of Ashlee, a beautiful mother, daughter, sister, partner, friend, all round outstanding human and so much more. We appreciate the well-wishes and thoughts of members of the Australian public who have expressed an outpouring of love for Ashlee and our baby girl.

As Ashlee Good was dying, she threw her baby into the arms of two strangers and begged them to save the infant.

We're still waiting to see if they were able to accomplish the mission.

Rest in peace, Ashlee Good.
