AZ Considering Bill Fining Social Media $250K Per Day For Banning Candidates

Attention Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, and all of the other social media giants:

The state of Arizona is NOT messing around anymore.

Unfair censorship, especially censorship with the intent of influencing American politics, will no longer be tolerated.

Think they're joking? It could cost you up to a quarter-million dollars per day.

Arizona's House Commerce Committee approved Senate Bill 1106 on March 28.

The bill was voted on along party lines, and "defines how a social media suspends, bans or reduces the exposure of an account." When the user doesn't realize this is happening, or isn't told why, this is called "shadowbanning."

The practice has no place in American politics.

Under the bill, Arizona's secretary of State may fine a social media platform $25,000 per day if he or she hinders the free speech of a candidate running for office. The fine increases up to a maximum of $250,000 per day if the issue is related to a candidate running for statewide office.

The rest of America should follow Arizona's lead. Transparency is the friend of the people. Liberals took it away for a while, but we're ready to bring it back.
