TV Star Joey Graziadei Reveals Gilbert Syndrome Diagnosis

 March 2, 2024

The Bachelor has been a beloved television show of countless Americans for decades.

In all that time, never has the show's male star come clean about a medical diagnosis in the middle of a season.

But that’s exactly what happened with 2024’s newest bachelor, Joey Graziadei.

Fans had become extremely concerned about how yellow Graziadei’s eyes appeared in episodes of the show.

Graziadei knew he needed to let viewers in on what was going on.

Back in high school, Graziadei was diagnosed with Gilbert syndrome.

According to the Mayo Clinic, the syndrome is a “harmless living condition” that is genetically inherited.

The bachelor found out about his diagnosis back in high school after consulting with multiple doctors.

“I went to other doctors, and they found out that there was nothing that was necessarily wrong, like hepatitis, but they diagnosed me with something called Gilbert syndrome,” Graziadei said.

We are relieved that it is nothing serious and admire Graziadei’s bravery in sharing this intimate detail of his life with viewers of the show!
