Trump's hush money trial delayed until mid-April

 March 17, 2024

Former President Donald Trump scored a big win on Friday after Judge Juan Merchan delayed his hush money trial in New York until mid-April.

The trial was originally supposed to begin on March 25 but will now be pushed back 30 days from Friday.

However, that isn't the end of problems for Democrats hoping to land a conviction of Trump. Trump's attorneys filed a motion regarding document production with a hearing set to determine the outcome.

It is entirely possible that, depending on the eventual decision that Judge Merchan makes, the trial could be delayed well beyond April.

All of this is terrible news for Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who has been humiliated repeatedly in between dealing with Trump and the collapse of a case he brought involving the Eagles rock band.

Bragg wants to land a conviction of Trump to boost his own profile among Democrats, while the left wants Trump convicted of something soon to give President Joe Biden ammunition for November's election, however, at this rate, neither will be happening anytime soon.
