Alina Habba, former President Donald Trump's lawyer in his New York civil fraud case declared on Tuesday that the matter is nothing but a "sideshow" to display New York Attorney General Letitia James' politics.

“You know, these people are trying to take away one of the most epic companies and iconic companies in New York. And they think this is just, you know, politics, a show, and it’s not. It’s a disgrace what they’re doing,” she said.

“They don’t love his politics, so they come after him,” she said, and added that it was decided “before we even walked in the court.”

“That tells you how ridiculous this is -- before he even heard a witness,” she said, explaining that the judge essentially determined Trump to be guilty “before we had a trial.”

"She ran on getting Trump. That’s what we’re dealing with," Habba said.

Judge Arthur Engoron certainly seems to be going along with whatever James wants. During Trump's testimony, Engoron reportedly shut him down repeatedly and wouldn't let him say what he wanted to say.
