Trump Conviction Might Not Matter To Voters

 November 24, 2023

Many people in America, including former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, are hoping that Donald Trump is convicted in at least one of his upcoming criminal trials.

That's because such individuals have something to gain from Trump being put behind bars. For Americans who still value truth and integrity, we would never believe Trump deserved to be behind bars unless Hunter and Joe Biden had already served two life sentences.

Christie thinks that Trump is going to be found guilty in federal court. He said:

You don’t give Mark Meadows immunity unless the evidence he has is unimpeachable. I want all Republican voters to understand this. What’s going to be happening in March? Trump is going to be sitting in a courtroom in Washington, D.C., with Mark Meadows 20 feet away from him saying he committed crimes in front of me on my watch.

"This is a guy who was Velcroed to Trump’s hip for the entire 2020 campaign and all the post-campaign nonsense, and so this is deadly. It’s done. He’s going to be convicted. It’s over," Christie added.

But will it matter?

Maybe not. People might not even lend any credibility to a guilty finding anyway, especially one rendered by a liberal jury in Washington, D.C.

The narrative that a conviction would destroy Trump in the eyes of the American electorate is already highly suspect before the first trial has even begun.
