Former President Donald Trump accused campaign rival Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis of spreading flyers around at an Iowa football game that depicted Melania Trump and read "Missing: Have you seen this woman?"

The flyers appeared during the college game, at which Trump appeared and was booed.

Trump later posted an article by Laura Loomer on Truth Social, in which DeSantis's campaign was blamed for the flyers, which pointed out Melania's absence from public life since her husband left office in January 2021.

She has not been present for any of Trump's recent legal appearances, although sources said she thinks the proceedings are without merit and has privately supported him.

Trump faces a total of 91 felony counts across four indictments. He could get more than 700 years in jail if sentenced to the maximum on all counts, and one even carries the potential of the death penalty (even though it is extremely unlikely to be used in that case).

DeSantis' campaign hasn't commented on the accusations.
