Trudeau changing his tune on immigration

 April 5, 2024

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is singing a little bit of a different tune lately.

The liberal prime minister, who has always been a HUGE fan of immigration, recently took a step back from that position.

He told his country that "the stream of temporary immigrants entering his country must be brought 'under control.'"

"Whether it's temporary foreign workers or whether it's international students in particular, that have grown at a rate far beyond what Canada has been able to absorb," Trudeau said on April 2. He added:

We want to get those numbers down. It's a responsible approach to immigration that continues on our permanent residents, as we have, but also hold the line a little more on the temporary immigration that has caused so much pressure in our communities.

Kind of sounds like the turn Joe Biden has made recently. After allowing people to flow over the border for three years, he's now pretending to care about it as election season rolls around.
