Ted Cruz says Mitch McConnell needs to step down from leadership role
It's time for Mitch McConnell to go.
Mike Lee thinks it.
Elon Musk thinks it.
You can score only so many points for the other team before losing your status as team captain.
This is especially true when you routinely use your position to undermine your teammates and punish anyone who disagrees with you—to the point that they don’t trust you. https://t.co/hPhOAsA7sC

And Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) DEFINITELY thinks it.
"I think a Republican leader should actually lead this conference and should advance the priorities of Republicans," Cruz recently said while criticizing McConnell.
For many Republicans, McConnell's support for the recent border bill liberals hoped to push through is enough evidence that he is no longer playing for the right team.
"I get why [Democratic Senate Majority Leader] Chuck Schumer wants that as a political talking point, but why the hell would Republican leadership in the Senate?" Cruz said.
Good question, Ted.
Mitch, can you give America an answer?
