Michelle Obama video from 2013 surfaces showing former first lady praising sexual predator Harvey Weinstein

A video from 2013 has surfaced of former first lady Michelle Obama praising serial sexual predator and convicted rapist Harvey Weinstein as a "wonderful human being" and a "good friend."

If anyone doubted how close the Obama family is with Hollywood's elite, a video of the first lady speaking at the Careers in Film Symposium on Nov. 8, 2013, makes it very clear that they were close with Weinstein.

An official White House transcript of Obama's speech states, "I want to start by thanking Harvey Weinstein for organizing this amazing day. (Applause.) Harvey. This is possible because of Harvey. He is a wonderful human being, a good friend and just a powerhouse."

After Weinstein's accusers came forward and it became apparent that Weinstein was going down, the Obamas issued a statement condemning him, but some suspect that they were being tactical about their distancing from Weinstein.

Weinstein was a Democrat megadonor who raised $5 million for Democrats between 2011 and 2013. After everything we learned about Weinstein's disgusting behavior, it is hard to believe those close to him didn't know what was happening.

The disgraced film mogul was a close friend of all the important people in the Democrat Party, and he maintained friendships spanning decades. For the Obamas and the Clintons to not have known anything seems suspicious at best.
