Manhattan DA urges judge to deny Trump's motion to delay trial

 March 22, 2024

When it comes to former President Donald Trump, no one can seem to stop him.

Trump just keeps finding ways to halt the progress of criminal cases brought against him.

Now, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is likely FUMING over the latest news.

Trump very well may have succeeded in delaying another trial by an entire month!

After 30,000 documents recently became available, Bragg knew he had no choice but to agree to postpone the trial to look through the new evidence.

However, Bragg has only requested 30 days. Trump has asked for 90.

Bragg, however, has serious issues with Trump’s request.

“Defendant's accusations of a discovery violation are a distraction from the only issue actually presented here, which is how this Court should respond to the late arrival of potentially relevant evidence from sources outside of the People's direction or control,” Bragg said in his latest filing.

So, it all comes down to this:

Trump's side REALLY wants the trial delayed.

Bragg's side is saying it needs to happen NOW.

With whom do you agree?

Do you think the judge will allow Trump even more time than he is currently seeking?
