John Eastman says he's been subpoenaed by Capitol Police

 April 5, 2024

Former President Donald Trump's ex-attorney John Eastman is downplaying the fact that a California judge is calling for his disbarment, arguing that he is "still likely to succeed on appeal and revealing he has been subpoenaed in a separate suit related to the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot."

The judge insisted that Eastman should be disbarred because of "false and misleading statements" about election fraud that played a role in "provoking" the Jan. 6 insurrection.

Eastman said that his case is going to the Supreme Court, but first "there’s a lot of water to go under the bridge yet."

"If the law was faithfully followed, this case should have never been brought in the first place," Eastman said. He added:

We had a disagreement on the facts of the 2020 election. We had a disagreement on the constitutional interpretation on issues that have never been settled. That has never been the basis of disciplinary action.

Hopefully, this isn't too bad of news for Donald Trump.

The nation needs him too much in 2024!
