Jill Biden's tax return goes public

America's first family has released its tax returns.

Jill Biden and her husband, President Joe Biden, reported earning roughly $620,000 in 2023.

The release of the tax return marks the third time that Joe Biden, as president, has made his tax information public and the 26th time he's done it throughout his political career.

Twenty-six times is a lot, but it's a little less impressive when you consider he's been in politics for nearly 60 of his 80 years on this earth.

The couple's tax return shows that the duo paid around $181,000 in state and federal taxes with an effective federal income tax rate of just under 24%.

Most of their income comes from the $400,000 per year that Joe Biden receives as president, and Jill Biden's salary of about $85,000 as an English professor at a community college.

The president's salary is constant since 2001 as set by Congress.

They also reported a $5,000 donation to the Beau Biden Foundation, given annually.
