Jack Smith To Use Trump Phone Data At Trial

 December 13, 2023

Special Counsel Jack Smith has a lot of nerve. Reports indicate that he is planning on using Donald Trump's cell phone records against him in a court of law.

Axios.com has revealed that Smith is going to use data from the former president's White House cell phone as part of the federal 2020 election interference case.

This isn't just some rumor.

Apparently, it's already in a court filing that Smith plans to call on an expert witness who has "extracted and processed data" from the phones of Trump and at least one other person.

This expert witness has information from Trump's cell phone showing that the Twitter app was open on Trump's phone during the day of the Jan. 6 Capitol unrest, according to the court filing.

Back in August, Trump was indicted for alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 election and was charged with conspiracy to defraud America.

These phone records could prove a lot one way or the other.
