Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis only got 8% GOP support in a new McLaughlin and Associates survey conducted last week.

DeSantis is now tied with former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley for second place in the GOP primary race, and both are 38 points behind former President Donald Trump.

Trump had 55% support in the poll, 12 points higher than in January when DeSantis had 31% support.

The survey also showed that Trump would beat Biden 38% to 35% if the 2024 election were held today. Two third-party candidates, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Cornel West, would get 14% and 2% respectively.

Another 13% of voters were undecided, which is a large enough number to change the result significantly.

While the margin of error of the poll was not known, it is probably at least 3%, meaning that anything could happen.
