Democrats have major crisis on their hands as Joe Biden loses ground with young voters

A New York Times/Siena College has Democrats panicking, as it found that President Joe Biden is tied with former President Donald Trump with voters younger than 30.

Young voters are an important voting block for the Democrat Party that tends to vote blue consistently and were a big part of Biden's win in 2020.

This poll backs up the findings of an Emerson College poll last month that found Trump was actually leading Biden with voters under 30, with 45% supporting Trump to 43% supporting Biden.

During the 2020 presidential election, Biden won 61% of voters between the ages of 18 and 29.

So, what is causing this change in a critical voting block for Democrats? The two immediate issues are lack of enthusiasm and economic hardship that hits young voters especially hard.

Many young voters went with Biden in 2020 because of the enthusiasm for a progressive candidate. Now the economy is in shambles, and President Biden has been a massive disappointment for progressives which leaves Democrats with a major problem on their hands.
