Arnold Schwarzenegger fitted with pacemaker at age 76

Famous actor and former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has shared a shocking medical update.

Schwarzenegger has been given a pacemaker at the age of 76.

However, Schwarzenegger is choosing to make light of a dark situation.

The star has joked that he has a “machine part” just like his character in the iconic Terminator film series.

On a more serious note, he used his medical status to inform others and raise awareness about the importance of proper healthcare.

“I have to tell you, just saying this to all of you goes against so much of my upbringing in Austria, where nobody — ever — talked about medical issues. Everything related to healthcare was kept to yourself. But I’ve gotten so many messages and emails from people who were born with a bicuspid aortic valve, like me, telling me that talking about my valve replacement surgeries has given them courage and hope to deal with their own,” Schwarzenegger said.
