Biden administration delays plans for menthol cigarette ban

 April 27, 2024

Joe Biden's administration has been planning a total BAN on menthol cigarettes, but Joe's going to push back its start a bit longer.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that Biden is trying to appeal to Black voters.

Menthol cigarette use is most commonly associated with Black people, a segment of the population whose attention Biden is losing quickly.

Joe needed to do something to get back in the demographic's good graces, so he's trying hard as the November election approaches.

About 34% of white smokers prefer menthol, compared to over 80% of Black smokers.

Menthol cigarettes have long been a target of anti-smoking groups who say they cause health problems disproportionately in Black communities and that their minty fresh flavor makes a dangerous product all the  more appealing to children.

What do you think about Joe delaying this ban?

Should Americans be allowed to smoke what they want to smoke? Or is Joe Biden simply pandering to a group from which he is currently bleeding support?
