Letitia James weighs in on Supreme Court abortion case

 April 27, 2024

If Letitia James had a choice, she would want the Supreme Court to choose to abort.

"This isn't complicated," New York's Attorney General said on the website formerly known as Twitter, adding:

No one should be denied medical treatment during a life-threatening emergency.

The case the Supreme Court is currently weighing is Idaho's near-total abortion ban.

Currently, "Idaho's law bans nearly all abortions unless they are required to prevent a mother's death."

That apparently isn't good enough for Letitia James.

Liberals have been kicking and screaming in an attempt to claw back the right to abortion in this country after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade back in 2022.

During oral arguments in the case, liberal Justice Elena Kagan said, "Within rare cases, there's a significant number where the woman...her life is not in peril, but she's going to lose her reproductive organs, she's going to lose the ability to have children in the future, unless an abortion takes place."
